This activity helps youth workers and youth work managers explore the value of multiplayer games in learning, communication, and teamwork.

Using the cooperative game SpaceTeam, you will reflect on your gameplay experiences, favourite games, and how games can be meaningfully used in youth work.

By completing this activity, you will:
  • Strengthen your communication and collaboration skills through play.
  • Reflect on why and how games matter in your life or work.
  • Explore how multiplayer games can support youth work practice and organisational strategy.

Get inspired

SpaceTeam is a chaotic, cooperative online or card game where players must shout, coordinate, and adapt to survive together on a virtual spaceship. You’ll need teamwork, timing, and trust. Beyond the fun and shouting, games like SpaceTeam are great tools for building communication, empathy, and inclusion.

For the offline version, you can use the card game version of the SpaceTeam.
